A healthy spin on New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp
Featuring one of the most decadent shrimp dishes I have ever had, modified to be lighter, healthier, more figure friendly...but just as delicious!

You won't believe how simple this recipe is!
Ingredients
Uncooked shrimp (peeled, de-veined): 1-1.5 lbs
Butter: 1 Tbsp
Worcestershire sauce: 1/8 cup
Garlic cloves: 3
Bay leaf: 1
Creole seasoning: 1 Tbsp
Dried oregano: 1 tsp
Paprika: 1 tsp
Black pepper: 1 pinch
Cayenne pepper: 1/2 tsp
Uncooked scallions (thinly sliced): 3 medium
Lemon: 1 (thinly sliced)
Lemon burst (juice): 5 tsp
EVOO: 2 Tbsp
Instructions:
Please check out my tips below before you begin :)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all ingredients EXCEPT shrimp in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat. Taste mixture and add a little salt if needed.
Place shrimp in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Pour delicious mixture over shrimp.
Bake 15-20 minutes, stirring once (or more).
My friend devoured half the dish without anything on the side, but I eventually combined this with a little brown rice and it was incredible!

Tips!
The lemons are ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and I ate them all. Slice them as thinly as you can and they will melt in your mouth later.
Use a Pyrex dish if you can, proudly support Made in USA!
Best to use UNSALTED butter if you can.
On shrimp, try to avoid anything that is farm raised. Buy as local as possible.
Don't forget to de-vein your shrimp! There are tons of videos on how to do this on YouTube.
Enjoy!
